An Odd Time To Launch

We're live baby! May the downloading begin!

I'm excited. It's been a long time since I launched a personal project online. This one has way more hours of design-work behind it than anything else I've ever created. The crazy part is I left some material out for site's launch. The downloadable packs on this site actually started out as a book. When I decided to split things up into this new format, there was some major editing that had to be done. But that's ok. That means I've got more stuff to work on and make available very soon.

I still have to get all social media stuff up to speed. To kick things off, I'll be focusing on Instagram and Twitter, but as soon as I can, I need to get YouTube rolling. I know some of the material that my packs cover can be explained SO much better in a video format. Especially the modal stuff involving scales. I've got all the gear to do it, so it's only a matter of getting it filmed. I plan on adding A LOT of motion graphics using After Effects to demonstrate what's going on all over the fretboard. I have a feeling the videos will turn into a whole other major project, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

There's gonna be mistakes.

Guys, I know there's going to be mistakes in my guides. I can't even start to describe just how much room there is for a simple boo-boo within all these chord and scale reference pages. Just one dot/note in the wrong spot, and things come off the rails. So you guys gotta help me when you can. If you spot a mistake PLEASE don't hesitate to send me a message and make me aware of it. Once I've verified the problem, I'll fix it as fast as I can and upload a new version. The last thing I want to do is confuse a new player (or anyone seeking knowledge on this site!), so I promise I'll do my best to keep on top of revisions.

I got big plans!

There's so much more I want to make available on this site for musicians. I've got more packs planned. I've also got some ideas for some super sick backing tracks to help out your practice sessions. No, seriously....these won't be your normal "backing tracks" kind of deal. You guys will know more as soon as I get things rolling. I want to make a very special thanks to a few Reddit users who helped me go through material and look for errors. And I also want to think everyone who has taken an interest in Tonetracer. I really hope the stuff on here helps some folks out. Share the website, and make sure to bookmark it so you can check back later for new stuff. Take care!
